About

We believe African artists deserve better infrastructure.

The talent was never the problem. Across Nigeria and the continent there are artists making work that deserves a global audience, and losing to something that has nothing to do with the music: no team, no strategy, no consistency, no one holding the whole picture.

So they assemble it themselves. A producer here, a videographer there, a designer found through a friend, a marketer hired for one release and gone by the next. Every piece is bought separately and nothing is built to fit together. The result is a catalogue of disconnected work and a career that never compounds.

SHATILI exists to be the thing that holds it together. Not a studio that records songs, but the creative, strategic and production infrastructure behind an artist — the part that makes each release build on the last.

Mission

To provide serious African artists with the creative, strategic and operational infrastructure required to build sustainable careers.

Vision

To become Africa’s most influential artist infrastructure company, and to help build the next generation of global African artists.

Our philosophy

We don’t make assets without understanding the objective. Every song, every video, every photograph exists to move something — an audience, a perception, a career. Work that looks good and does nothing is not work we’re interested in making.

We also aren’t interested in one song. The question that guides everything here is what happens next: after the release, after the campaign, after the moment. Careers are built in that answer.

Our standards

We work with a limited number of artists at a time. That is not scarcity marketing — it is the only way we know to do work at the standard we want to be known for. When capacity is full, we say so.
